What we collect
- Contact form: your name, email address, the details you choose to give (phone, organisation, subject) and your message.
- Pro bono network form: your name, email address, phone number, state of practice and the optional professional details you choose to give.
- Newsletter: your email address and, if given, your name.
For security, we also keep a one-way, non-reversible code derived from the network address used to submit a form. It helps us block abuse but cannot be used to identify you.
How we use it
We use your information only to respond to you, to manage the pro bono network, or to send the newsletter you asked for. We do not sell or rent personal information.
How long we keep it
Messages and pro bono applications submitted through this website are deleted automatically after 12 months. You can unsubscribe from the newsletter at any time using the link in every email.
Cookies
This website only uses cookies that are essential for it to work, such as protecting forms from misuse. We do not use advertising or tracking cookies.
Third-party services
Donations are made on Paystack’s secure pages, and JusticePadi and the SLAPPs Monitor are separate websites, each with its own privacy policy. Embedded videos use privacy-enhanced players where available.
Your rights
You can ask us for a copy of the information we hold about you, or ask us to correct or delete it, by emailing hello@hopebehindbarsafrica.org.
